The Hambleton Gift Service
The Hambleton Gift Service offers the ultimate racing gift - real racehorse ownership with one of Britain’s top trainers.
Beneficiaries of the Gift Service initially receive a professionally taken and framed photograph of their horse together with an ownership certificate, congratulatory letter and their own log-in to the owners‘ enclosure of our website, and that is just the start.
After the excitement and realisation that they are now the real owner of a racehorse, the recipient can then look forward to an unrivalled level of service.
Obviously as a real owner your loved one will be able to attend the stables to see their horse at a time that suits them for private stable visits, when a member of the Hambleton team will always be on hand to look after them at the stables.
Owners with us are real owners. That is to say they are listed at Weatherbys - the administrators of racing - and of course receive two owners’ badges every time their horse goes to the races - it wouldn’t be much fun without those!
Each owner receives a twelfth of the prize money and re-sale value of their horse and benefits from our sole owner service, which ensures owners are kept up to date as a sole owner would be, with regular calls and information updates via email and our website.
We recognise the social element of racehorse ownership is crucial and our ever-popular complimentary naming meals are great ice-breakers.
The day starts with a private coffee reception in the adjacent Hambleton Inn. We’ll then drive your loved one and their guest (hopefully you!) to the gallops to see their horse in action. Before returning to the yard to see their horse at closer quarters. Our professional photographer, will then take a picture of the proud owner with their new found pride and joy. From there, it’s back to the pub for the naming meal with your fellow owners.
Before the naming day, owners vote on their horse’s name in a Eurovision-type poll made up of the names suggested by all the owners. The result of the vote, which always generates plenty of discussion, fun and intrigue, is announced after the meal by landlord Paul Cooper, to a champagne toast.
