BREEZE UP NEWS

10/04/08

We're absolutely delighted to be able to report a very successful day at Doncaster's Breeze Up sale.

The hard work Kevin Ryan and Steve Hillen have put in our behalf came to fruition late on in the sale when we managed to secure a lovely colt by Key Of Luck, the sire of the outstanding Alamshar.

The well made colt breezed very well, clocking the fifth fastest time of the entire 170-lot sale, but it is his fantastic pedigree which will have many excited.

The colt's third dam is none other than Flame Of Tara, one of, if not the most successful broodmares of the past century, having produced multiple Group winners of great distinction.

His second dam, Nearctic Flame, is a full sister to the mighty filly Salsabil, who took on the colts and beat them in the Irish Derby after winning the Epsom Oaks.

Nearctic Flame herself has produced four winners including three pattern class horses while this colt's first dam, Candescent, has a perfect record at stud having produced five winners from five foals.

His physique and scope impressed Kevin and Steve greatly and, on a day when there was a great deal of fluctuation in the market, we feel we have got a real bargain.

That belief was further strengthened in the hours after the sale when we were contacted by an underbidder, who offered us an immediate profit on the colt.

Naturally, having put so much time and effort into securing the right horse, the last thing we are interested in is letting him go and we're very excited to have such a nicely bred colt joining us.

Those who have registered an interest in the Breeze Up syndicate will be contacted by the end of Friday with full details of this exciting horse.
