On a surprisngly bright and breezy morning, owners of the two-year-old by Kyllachy gathered together on Saturday to see their colt on his naming day.
Owners gathered together at The Hambleton Inn, opened specially for the morning, and enjoyed coffee and tea before being driven up to the gallops to see their horse in action (as pictured below, Amorachy nearside).
Amorachy, ridden by James, struts his stuff on the gallops.
Once on the gallops, owners watched Makshoof lead Amorachy and another two-year-old by Deportivo, the pair breezing upsides.
Everyone agreed Amorachy looked in fantastic condition and with Kevin very happy with him, that all important first run should not be too far away.
Once his owners had returned from the gallops, Amorachy posed like an old hand with them as Hambleton Racing's photographer, Keith Robinson, took complimentary pictures for all.

After his owners had enjoyed the chance to see their horse at close quarters everyone retired to the pub for the complimentary naming meal and drinks.
As ever, the quality food and service of the Hambleton Inn were well received before the most important part of the day - the naming announcement from landlord Paul Cooper.
Paul welcomed new and returning owners to the Hambleton - many members of the syndicate had been owners with Hambleton before - before announcing the result of the naming vote.

The name of Amorachy topped the vote emphatically and was very well received by his owners, who are pictured above with the Hambleton team toasting his name.
The result was especially popular with first time owners Craig and Paul, who suggested the name Amorachy.

With the weather kind, Amorachy looking in grand order and plenty of good conversation and laughter throughout the afternoon, the all-complimentary day proved a real success.
Amorachy's owners are excitedly looking forward to his first run now, which is likely to come during April.
