Statistically speaking - HR's 36% strike rate

2011 has been a great year for Hambleton Racing with our owners enjoying much of the success that is a well established characteristic of owning a racehorse with Hambleton Racing.

The Hambleton horses have been in great form right from the start of the year and have given us many wins to celebrate. A very impressive 36% of this year's runners have resulted in a win - a statistic we are particularly proud of and one that highlights just how well the horses have been performing for their owners where it matters, on the racecourse.

This success is, of course, due in no small part to the training abilities of Kevin Ryan. The Hambleton-based trainer is well on his way to his best ever year. With more than 90 winners in the bag Kevin's fifth consecutive century of winners is a formality and he looks certain to set a new personal best winner tally for 2011. Kevin's success is not only measurable in his number of his winners, but also the quality of the horses in his yard, such as Group 2 Royal Ascot winner Bapak Chinta.  

The quality of the Hambleton Racing team's success is also measurable by the quality of the horses in our midst. Listed-placed Shoshoni Wind is one of two 90+ rated members of the squad with a further three of the four members of the team that are BHA-assessed rated in the mid 80s and the other an admirable seven-time winner. 

Taking stock of this year's results, Cosmo Charlton, Hambleton's Head Racing Manager, says "It must be said, there's more to owning a racehorse with Hambleton Racing than just success of the racecourse - our hugely popular social days a key element of helping our owners enjoy racehorse ownership on and off the racecourse. That said the success we've had this year is absolutely fantastic and has seen us improve our impressive racing statistics even further. We're naturally delighted about that and it's great to be working with one of Britain's best trainers."

For his part Kevin Ryan, pictured below alongside Simon at last year's Doncaster Owners' Race Day,  also expressed his pleasure about how the season is going. "I'm delighted for Hambleton and their owners that results continue to go so well. Simon Turner and I work closely together to place the horses to best effect. Lightning Cloud and Shoshoni Wind's recent wins were planned well ahead by Simon giving Hambleton's owners winners at Ascot and Chester on the same day."

Naturally we're committed to trying to build further on our consistent success in the months ahead while we're also looking forward to social fun too, with the August Owners' Barbeque next on the agenda.
