Over 30,000 racegoers flocked to Ascot on Saturday for the Shergar Cup, one of the most high profile days of the flat season that once again saw Richard Hughes and his Irish team successful.
Among the excited crowds were Shoshoni Wind’s syndicate, ready to see their star filly take her well deserved place in the Shergar Cup Dash, a race featuring some of the best sprint handicappers in Britain.

Since Shoshoni Wind joined us from the DBS Premier Yearling Sales she’s rarely disappointed and once again ran a fine race under Dubai World Cup winner Mirco Demuro, finishing fourth, beaten just over a length in an exciting finish.
The run represented a personal best for Shoshoni who has now earned prize money at Ascot, Ayr, Carlisle, Chester, Hamilton, Newcastle, Newbury, Newmarket and York, taking her owners on a very exciting journey in the process.
The speedy filly is likely to do even better next year but before then is likely to offer her owners plenty more excitement, with another visit to York’s Ebor meeting her next possible race.
Already Listed placed as a two-year-old, the in-form, progressive filly is likely to step back up in class in the future.
