2020 team taking shape

10th December 2019

It’s been a very busy autumn as we prepare for next year, with many new members of the team added.

Our team and trainer have been working hard to ensure we've got some quality bloodstock for our owners to enjoy and are delighted with this year's acquisitions.

Our latest syndicate to be completed is that of Midnight Legacy, a well-bred point-to-point winner who recently joined us from the Cheltenham sales to join Phil Kirby.

She joins yearlings by Buratino, Footstepsinthesand, Hot Streak, Territories, Twilight Son and Zoffany that have already sold out this autumn.

Our expert trainers have sourced some really exciting prospects for our owners to enjoy. It’s great to see the youngsters thriving on their work and we’re excited to hear that Archie, David, Karl and Kevin think we’ve got some forward, speedy two-year-olds to enjoy next year. It certainly promises to be a busy exciting start with next year’s youngsters!

There is also some longer-term quality amongst the youngsters so the team has really nice balance.

We still have some availability in youngsters based with Archie Watson and Karl Burke. Archie’s filly is all speed and looks fast so she could be the first runner of all. More details on our current available shares can be found via our available horses page.

Over at David O’Meara’s a new name to note is Egrecio who follows a well-trodden path to David’s yard having arrived from Dermot Weld’s. He’s done amazingly well for his break from training and the stud manager who has managed his development is confident he will enjoy a good year.

Other established Hambleton stars that look set to shine next year include Dandy’s Beano, who is doing typically well for her break, Magical Spirit, another horse that has let down well and Wild Hope, who has done really well for this year’s holiday. Of course, all already boast quality form.

Of the younger, lesser known horses, Soaring Star is a name to remember. He’s been held in high regard by Kevin for some time and seems to be thriving for his holiday after being gelded.

Of course, It won’t be long till the holidays are over and the horses return to their respective trainers.

At this stage it would appear the 2020 squad is our best ever. With that in mind we’re confident of repeating, or surpassing, this year’s great success.

A brief selection of some of this images from this year appears below. Here's hoping the class of 2020 can do even better!
