All smiles for Assimile

It was all smiles in the winners enclosure at Southwell on Thursday as Assimile maintained his perfect record at Southwell by winning his second race on the fibresand.
It’s been a busy week for Assimile, who chased home a much higher rated rival at Chelmsford on Tuesday before running again less than 48 hours later.
Clifford Lee was seen to good effect on the son of Dabrisim, gaining a good, prominent early position before stepping things up turning into straight.
Assimile and Cliff soon had the rest in trouble and the pair were always doing enough to land the spoils and secure Assimile a second fibresand win.
All winners are special and whilst this win was at a much more modest level than Saturday’s big race success at Doncaster, it was great to see Assimile’s owners enjoying that winning feeling again.
