Kevin Ryan Royal Ascot win Hambleton’s horse racing syndicate

Archie/Kevin win Royal Ascot Group 1’s

20th June 2023

Royal Ascot is the biggest stage of all and Hambleton trainers Archie Watson and Kevin Ryan made the headlines on opening day, both winning Royal Ascot Group 1’s.

The pair are no strangers to success at the very highest level and once again reminded us of that as they saw off the very best the world could bring to Royal Ascot to land a Group 1 win apiece.

Kevin Ryan kicked the meeting off in the best possible way, with his Triple Time making most of the running to see off Frankie Dettori and Inspiral to win Queen Anne under Neil Callan.

The win was yet another hugely impressive piece of training from Kevin who has minded Triple Time with great care and skill before producing him first time out to win in such impressive fashion.

We didn’t have long to wait till another Hambleton trainer, this time Archie Watson, was bagging the second Group 1 of Royal Ascot week.

Bradsell, winner of the Coventry Stakes as a two-year-old, was mightily impressive over the furlong shorter trip in the King’s Stand, travelling notably the best before quickening past one of the best sprint mares seen for many a year in Highland Princess and secure his first Group 1.

The way he won suggests it’s highly unlikely to be his last. A 47,000gns purchase from last year’s breeze-ups, Bradsell shows what Archie is capable of with his shrewdly bought breeze-up horses from these boutique two-year-old sales.

It’s great to see both Archie and Kevin enjoying such massive wins on the very biggest stage of all.

We are of course well aware of their immense training talent and are proud to be able to offer the chance to own with these two outstanding trainers.
