Archie wins the Coventry!

There was a fantastic result at Royal Ascot this afternoon as Archie Watson won the Group 2 Coventry Stakes with Bradswell under Hollie Doyle.

The most prestigious race of the meeting for two-year-olds is the one every trainer wants to win and there was little doubt who was going to be winning from halfway as Bradsell travelled with notable ease under Hollie Doyle before running on to win decisively.

The win is yet more evidence of the training talent of trainer Archie Watson, who acquired this smart colt for just 47,000gns at this year’s sales.

Our team were confident Archie was a trainer going places when we joined Archie several years ago and his stock continues to rise with a seemingly never ending list of amazing training performances recorded.

Archie has made a habit of making dreams come true for our owners, winning Group 1 races with Glen Shiel (£45,000) and Outbox (16,000gns) and many other Stakes races too.

A handy knack of producing these fantastic results without spending a fortune is a hallmark of our excellent record with Archie and we’ll be hoping for yet more fantastic results this year with our youngsters who look a high-class bunch.

Amongst them are lovely youngsters by Cracksman, Gustav Klimt, Sioux Nation, Territories  and Zoffany that we’re all excited about. Such is Archie’s record for us, it seems almost certain these horses will be making headlines of their own in time.

In the meantime, the latest Royal Ascot win for Archie Watson in the Coventry confirms once again what an outstanding trainer he is and just what he’s capable of with his young horses.
