Bargain buy romps to 13-length win

Bargain buy Mehmento furthered his growing reputation this evening, remaining unbeaten after romping to a 13-length win at Southwell.

A very impressive winner on debut, Mehmento was a very warm order to win his second start and readily got on top of his rivals once Adam McNamara asked him to exert himself, powering away in the final quarter mile.

Adam was able to take things easy in the closing stages, otherwise he may well have prevailed by half a furlong!

This was the performance of a talented horse and prompted handicappers Timeform to allot Mehmento a provisional rating of 100.

It’s been some start to this exciting colt's career for his horse racing syndicate, with their horse now winning his first two races by an aggregate of over 22 lengths!

Purchased for just £14,000 last July, the son of Mehmas is another great example of a quality horse we’ve acquired for little money and another great advert for the training talents of Archie Watson.

With the bargain buy romping to a 13-length win here, he looks sure to give his syndicate owners some exciting days ahead in much bigger races as he steps up in grade from here.

Mehmento is a horse we’re all really excited about going forward and he adds some great quality to the strong team of horses we have to look forward to for our owners for 2021.
