Chaturanga remains unbeaten

25th June 2023

Two starts and two wins. It’s been an exciting start to the career of Chaturanga, who remains unbeaten after winning a valuable novice race for his horse racing syndicate at Haydock last night.

The son of Invincible Army had destroyed his field on his racecourse debut for the Archie Watson team, powering clear to win by seven-and-a-half lengths at Redcar.

Lining up in a race with a total prize fund of £30,000, Chaturanga was facing a much stiffer test here but to the delight of his owners proved well up to the challenge. Quickly well positioned under Luke Morris, he found plenty when asked to work in the closing stages, ultimately scoring decisively at the line.

Few horses win their first two racecourse appearances which marks Chaturanga down as an exciting horse for his horse racing syndicate.

His masterful trainer Archie Watson will be assessing how he comes out of his latest success in Lambourn before pinpointing where this talented colt heads next.

Wherever he heads next, his owners look to have an excellent season ahead of them with Chaturanga, who remains unbeaten and with serious potential.

The promising colt holds some exciting sales race engagements this autumn and is likely to step up in grade for his next start.

That third outing is awaited with great interest!
