Churchella wins again
22nd December 2023
It was great to see Churchella win again at Chelmsford last night, as she bounced back to land her second win in three starts.
Stepping up to fourteen furlongs for the first time, our imposing daughter of champion two-year-old Churchill cruised into proceedings under a masterful Danny Tudhope ride beneath the lights at the Essex track.
She looked to be full of running as she entered the straight, and although there was something of a scrummage as she battled alongside the eventual runner up, she appeared to win a shade cosily when crossing the line in front.
This was a second win for Churchella, and although she has always shown the David O’Meara team plenty of ability on the gallops at home, she has been something of a work in progress to get the best out of her on the racecourse.
With two wins in three runs to her name since late September, it looks like the Willow Farm maestro has found what makes our filly tick, and we look forward to seeing what 2024 has in store for her and her horse racing syndicate now she has confirmed herself a filly on the up.
Hailing from a smart family of classy winners, Churchella looks a lovely breeding prospect in the making, but there looks to be plenty more fun to be had on the racecourse to be had first.
David is delighted to see Churchella living up to his expectations, and with her having shown form at a variety of all-weather courses, he expects there will be plenty of opportunities for the filly and her horse racing syndicate to enjoy further success together into 2024.
It will be fascinating to see how she can progress under David’s expert guidance.
