Clenymistra wins at Ripon

29th August 2018

Tuesday proved to be an enjoyable day for connections as Clenymistra returned to the winner’s enclosure at Ripon.

This daughter of Poet’s Voice, was on the board twice last season, in her first year in the Hambleton silks and made it three wins to date in a convincing display at the Yorkshire track.

Having jumped smartly from the stalls, Clenymistra was always at the head of affairs and seemingly had her opponents struggling from three furlongs out. Only one challenger posed any sort of threat from the chasing pack, but victory was never in doubt as she kept on to win comfortably under Sam James.

As only a four-year-old filly who has proven her stamina, it was not unexpected that there may be interest should she get back to winning ways and so it proved. The ensuing auction then proved to be a nail-biting time for her owners, as an interested party made several strong bids for her at ring side.

To the delight of her owners, we managed to successfully retain Clenymistra and hopefully, with confidence at a premium, she can go on to have a fruitful Autumn campaign.

We’d like to congratulate all of our connections on her latest success and for now, Clenymistra herself, who can now enjoy some well-deserved relaxation in the paddocks at Willow Farm.
