Deserved win for Stars

It was great to see a deserved win for Stars In The Night at Catterick last night, as the three-year-old filly came home a decisive winner under Kevin Stott.

The daughter of Starspangledbanner had ran great races in defeat on her two runs to date this season, not beaten far at Beverley or Ayr, so was hardly winning out of turn.

Always prominent, Stars picked up decisively once asked for her effort by Kevin, who was looking around for non-existent dangers inside the final furlong.

At the line Stars In The Night had over two lengths in hand and looks just the sort to prospect in handicaps for the rest of the season.

Trainer Kevin Ryan was delighted with this deserved win for Stars as were her horse racing syndicate who look to have a nice filly on their hands going forward.

Congratulations to all her owners and especially Vincent, who was at Catterick to enjoy his first success as an owner with Hambleton. Here's hoping it's the first of many!
