Arctic Emperor Newmarket

Arctic’s fourth win

13th May 2022

It’s always nice to win races on Newmarket’s historic Rowley Mile course and Arctic Emperor did just that today, recording his fourth career win for his horse racing syndicate.

Hollie Doyle soon had the four-year-old well positioned at the head of affairs and dictated the tempo from there up Newmarket’s famous straight to run out a decisive two-length winner to the delight of the owners racing with him at Newmarket.

A very versatile horse ground wise, the son of Territories has wintered well from three to four and probably only needed to reproduce the best of last year’s solid three-year-old form to prevail on this occasion.

Hollie was full of praise for our latest winner after the race, feeling he had returned in great form and found the drop back to Newmarket’s stiff mile no problem at all.

It’s great to enjoy another winner with Archie who, as almost always seems the case, has his horses in tip-top order just now.

With Arctic’s fourth win safely secured it’s highly likely this solid horse will be back out and racing for his owners in the weeks ahead, bidding to improve on an already impressive win-to-run ratio.

It will be interesting to see where Archie targets him next as he seeks to secure Arctic win number five.

As a winner on ground ranging from firm to heavy, and on courses as diverse as Brighton and Newmarket, it’s fair to say that pretty much all options are open to this most likeable horse!
