Glory maintains perfect start

10th March 2022

We look to have another very nice horse on our hands in the shape of Fly To Glory, who maintained a perfect start to his career when winning his second start at Newcastle tonight.

The imposing chestnut has a stride and personality to match his big presence and will have certainly made an impression on anyone present at Newcastle this evening.

Very keen to post, he made jockey Hollie Doyle work hard before the race had even started but was much happier once pointed back down the track, tracking a regally bred newcomer for as long as that horse could lead him before powering clear in the style of a very good horse.

Despite conceding a seven-pound penalty to his rivals, Fly To Glory had three lengths in hand at the line, and once again took a while to pull up after the race – a clear sign there was something left in the locker if needed.

It takes a nice horse win so well under a penalty and Archie, who was enjoying a birthday winner with Fly To Glory, was very pleased to see this quality horse win so well.

The son of Cotai Glory is yet another quality horse secured from the breeze-ups with Archie Watson and looks sure to give his horse racing syndicate lots more fun after maintaining a perfect start to his career tonight.

It will be fascinating to see what Archie plots for Fly To Glory’s third outing and his next start is awaited with great interest.
