May Blossom wins again at Beverley

Gutsy May wins again

27th August 2022

There are few tougher horses to have represented our owners over the years than May Blossom, who took her winning tally to four with a typically gutsy win at Beverley today.

The three-year-old daughter of Mayson raced a dozen times last year and has been taking her racing incredibly well again this year, with Saturday’s win her tenth run of the campaign.

Ridden for the first time by Ben Curtis, May was behind the bridle for much of the way, but as things got tough up the Beverley hill she relished the task at hand, knuckling down well for Ben to lead on the line in an exciting three-way finish.

After the race Ben reported he’d had to work hard upon May but also that he’d have been an unlucky loser in a busy and tight finish where room was at a premium.

This was May’s fourth career win for her horse racing syndicate, many of whom where present at the track to welcome her back into the winners’ enclosure.

After a nervous wait for the result of the photo, May’s owners were able to celebrate another win from their ultra-tough filly in the Beverley sunshine.

A filly who takes her racing incredibly well, May is no doubt likely to be out and racing again soon as she continues to give her owners plenty of fun on the racecourse.
