Kevin’s Group 1 win

Kevin Ryan enjoyed another huge win yesterday as Hello Youmzain won the Group 1 Haydock Park Sprint Cup in great style.

The three-year-old was a Group race winner for Kevin as a two-year-old and has progressed through his three-year-old campaign this year under the expert guidance of Kevin.

Quickly into his stride under James Doyle, Hello Youmzain was soon travelling well in the front rank and when asked to go and win his race found an impressive amount to fend off previous Group 1 winner The Tin Man.

For good measure, Kevin also saddled the fourth home, Brando, another Group 1 winner, and seventh home Major Jumbo, a last-time-out Listed winner.

This latest Group 1 winner is a timely reminder with the yearling sales season getting into full swing that Kevin can not only source the right bloodstock but also win the big races when he gets the right material.

Kevin has also trained Group or Listed winning two-year-olds in ten of the last eleven years - a quite remarkable achievement. Group race winners seemingly arrive like clockwork for Kevin, who has few peers when it comes to finding quality horses at bargain prices.

It’s great to see Kevin maintain his levels of achievement in some of the sport’s best races. Such fine results perhaps help explain why Kevin Ryan’s yearling syndicates are always so popular!
