Twelfth Knight Windsor win enc

Knight wins again

13th June 2022

There are few better places to enjoy a winner in the evening sun than Windsor by the Thames and Twelfth Knight provided exactly that for his owners this evening as he won again, making it two wins and three places from his five starts to date.

A bargain buy from last year’s Goresbridge breeze-up sales for just £20,000, Twelfth was building on his solid and progressive form to date and has yet to finish out of the money for his owners in his five outings.

Twelfth Knight broke well under James Doyle and was always well placed under the Classic winning rider before finding plenty under pressure to turn away his rivals one by one.

James reported Twelfth Knight showed a great attitude to his work in the final furlong and felt he was a very solid, likeable sprinter.

We’re very proud of the regular value we find for our owners at the sales and the result of this race neatly highlights how well bought this quality horses was.

The son of Haatef was a bargain buy and actually the cheapest purchase of the the entire field at Windsor, yet here he was conceding weight and a beating to all his rivals to maintain the impressive start to his career.

There were some great scenes in the winners enclosure afterwards as Twelfth’s horse racing syndicate welcomed him back after this latest win.

With two wins and three places on his cv already, Twelfth Knight’s owners are now looking forward to seeing what trainer Archie Watson has in mind for their likeable three-year-old next.
