Magical Spirit Close Up

Magical Spirit impressive

11th June 2020

Owners enjoyed a comfortable and enjoyable watch during Magical Spirit’s impressive win today at Beverley, the four-year-old running right away from his rivals in the sprint handicap.

Settled in behind the leaders under Kevin Stott, Magical Spirit was briefly short of room after halfway but made no mistake when getting daylight, quickly moving on from his rivals in the style of a progressive sprinter.

The son of Zebedee was winning his fourth race from 11 starts and is a horse Kevin Ryan has always had a soft spot for.

His owners were understandably delighted with the performance which suggests some decent sprint handicaps could now be on his agenda moving forwards.

Magical’s success was a timely reminder of the Kevin’s prolific results from the breeze-up sales, the four-year-old having cost just €20,000 from the Goresbridge Breeze-Up sale in 2018.

A winner at two, three and now four years, he’s blossoming into a classy type under Kevin’s care and is a horse we’re all excited about for the future.
