May Blossom’s Bonus win

28th April 2021

Owners look to have a really nice filly on their hands after May Blossom’s bonus win in today’s opening race at Pontefract.

It’s always exciting to get a nice early-season two-year-old for owners to enjoy and May Blossom looks just that, once again showing bright early speed and a real will to win in the closing stages.

Her success in late April perhaps came a few days early according to her name, but May Blossom’s owners weren’t worrying about that as they enjoyed seeing their filly win well and secure a Great British Bonus on top of her winning prize money.

The bonus meant the win was more like winning a Listed race in terms of prize money and it may well be this filly might try her hand in a good race next, such was the impression she created here.

The daughter of Mayson showed bright speed throughout before showing a gutsy attitude and plenty of ability to get the better of last-time-out winner Khunan in the style of a filly with plenty more to offer going forward.

There should be more opportunities to chase another bonus win while she’s also engaged in Redcar’s prestigious Two-Year-Old Trophy later in the year.

All in all, plenty to look forward to then for her horse racing syndicate, who look to have a very nice filly to enjoy for this year and beyond after May Blossom’s bonus win.

The success was yet another good result provided for our owners by David O'Meara, who has a canny knack of producing quality young horses without breaking the bank. Long may it continue!
