Mehmento books Royal Ascot ticket

There were some fabulous scenes in the winners enclosure at Epsom today as Mehmento booked his Royal Ascot ticket for his horse racing syndicate.

Having been runner-up in the Group 3 Greenham Stakes in May, the lightly raced three-year-old was understandably a hot favourite for Epsom’s Listed Surrey Stakes and duly made no mistake, making all the running to win easily under Hollie Doyle after moving like the winner throughout.

Having runners and winners on these huge days of racing is always something to savour and our syndicate owners will doubtless have made memories that will last forever as they welcomed Hollie and Mehmento into the Epsom’s famous winners enclosure.

Hollie was delighted with Mehmento after the race and feels this exciting horse has every right to be lining up at Royal Ascot now.

A bargain buy at just £14,000 from last year’s Goresbridge breeze-up sales, Mehmento is the perfect example of what Archie’s superb buying team can achieve. Archie Watson was delighted with Mehemnto’s authoritative performance. Archie regards him as one of the best horses he has trained and is very much looking forward to stepping him back up into Group company.

His next move into Group company will almost certainly come at Royal Ascot where Archie will decide between the Group 3 Jersey Stakes over seven furlongs and the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup over six furlongs.

Archie has no doubt this exciting horse is well up to competing in such races and now Mehmento has booked his Royal Ascot ticket more exciting days lie ahead for his owners.
