Miquelon gains his first success

24th August 2021

It was a positive start to the week as connections saw Miquelon gain his first success at Chepstow racecourse for his horse racing syndicate.

This consistent son of Kingman had posted some respectable efforts already this season when finishing in the placings on four of his previous outings and he was certainly not winning out of turn when gaining this well-deserved victory on Monday.

In the hands of Archie’s capable apprentice Joanna Mason, Miquelon was always well positioned in this contest and ran on well in the closing stages to secure the win for the in-form Archie Watson team.

This win could well give him the confidence to progress from here this autumn and his horse racing syndicate will be eagerly awaiting to see where Archie chooses to aim for next.

Archie typically does well with these older horses and this was yet another example of him securing a win for us with another shrewd recruit from the horses-in-training sales.

Wherever Archie opts to head with him next, Miquelon is worth staying on the right side with him not required to carry a penalty for this initial win – a typically fine piece of placing by his trainer.

His owners looks set to continue having a fun time of things through the latter half of the season as Archie plots a path for their horse with this first win under his belt.
