New yearlings confirmed
9th October 2018
It’s been a busy and productive week or so at the sales and we’re delighted to confirm the arrival of two new yearlings to the ranks.
The yearlings are both fillies and are now firmly settled in at Copgrove Stud where they are having a short rest before heading into Kevin Ryan’s nearby yard.
The first acquisition, pictured right, is by first-season sire sensation No Nay Never, who has already sired his first Group 1 winner via Ten Sovereigns and has had stacks more quality winners too, including at Group 2 and Listed level. In short he looks sure to become a key Coolmore stallion and it’s very exciting to have this filly secured.
She’s a half sister to a black type horse, walks for fun and has plenty of size and quality about her.
The second yearling to join us is a filly by first-season sire Night Of Thunder and is pictured at the head of the page. A strong looking type, she’s from an excellent family and looks sure to be early, judging by her strength and stature.
Her sire was a recent winner of the 2000 Guineas of course and being by the mighty Dubawi, Night Of Thunder has all the hallmarks of being an excellent stallion.
She's already been earmarked for an entry in the valuable Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury next year.
Both fillies have proved extremely popular with both our owners and those registered to receive news of our available horses and are already on the verge of being sold out.
With demand high Kevin will be looking on our behalf for further opportunities at all of the up-coming yearlings sales.
Further details will appear online as and when we have further availability in this year’s yearlings.
