Nifty Getaway impressive
15th February 2022
Nifty Getaway proved a most impressive winner of Ayr’s bumper today, travelling notably well throughout the race before clearing away to win in great style.
An eye-catching third at Ludlow on her debut, Nifty Getaway was faced with very different conditions today but made light of the deep ground, travelling comfortably throughout before kicking clear of her toiling rivals up the long home straight to win in great style.
Nick Schofield, who travelled to Ayr for just the one ride aboard Nifty Getaway, was delighted with her impressive performance, feeling Nifty had been a very impressive winner on the day and was a mare who’d improve again in a better race.
With a place and an improved, impressive win on her cv under rules, the ex point-to-pointer could well step up in grade for her next start and long term, looks a lovely hurdler and chaser for her horse racing syndicate to enjoy.
It’s been a simply incredible start with our National Hunt horses based with Archie Watson - all three of the horses we’ve secured have proved nice winners for their owners.
Our expert team sourced two horses, Grove Road and Nifty Getaway, from Cheltenham’s May Point-to-Point sale last year and both have now won bumpers impressively for their owners in their first season racing under rules, looking smart prospects for next year’s novice ranks in the process.
The future looks bright for both horses and we expect there to be plenty of interest in the horses the team source for us later this spring as we return to the Cheltenham Point-to-Point sale bidding to find the next Grove Road or Nifty Getaway.
In the meantime, we can look forward with excitement to what comes next for Nifty Getaway!
