Roman Encounter Horse Racing Syndicate win

Perfect start for Roman

18th August 2020

It was a perfect start for Roman Encounter and her horse racing syndicate as Kevin Ryan's recent breeze-up recruit made a winning start at Beverley.

The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor becomes the latest of a conveyor belt of breeze-up winners for our owners, and could hardly have been more impressive in success.

Typically well prepared by Kevin, Roman Encounter looked fantastic in the paddock. Kevin never over does his breeze-up horses at home, and his approach once again paid off handsomely here.

Roman relaxed well under Kevin Stott in the early stages before showing a fine change of gear to come from the rear of the field to challenge mid race.

She then found plenty off the bridle, showing a good attitude to go with her clear talent to win with her ears pricked crossing the line.

A word must go to Beverley who looked after our owners well as they enjoyed the perfect start to Roman Encounter's racing career. It's great to see more and more owners being able to get racing and enjoy their sport at the races.

It will be fascinating to see where Kevin points this exciting two-year-old filly next - she's certainly one to look forward to for her owners.
