Piper’s off the mark

Our latest winning graduate from the breeze up sales is Piper’s Fort, who gained reward for a series of credible runs this year when gaining his first success at Yarmouth on Thursday.
The son of Kodiac joined us from the Goresbridge breeze-up sales last year and enjoyed the step back up to six furlongs at the seaside track to run out a decisive winner under an excellent ride from Luke Morris.
The success improves further our outstanding record when buying breeze-up horses with Archie Watson from Goresbridge.
Incredibly, all nine of our purchases from Ireland’s only breeze-up sale are now winners, giving us a perfect record for our owners.
That group of horses have featured two Listed winners, seen our owners enjoy winners in Doha, France and Sweden and enjoy runners at the Epsom Derby festival and Royal Ascot among other places. This year the unbeaten Dyrholaey sold for a huge profit to Wathnan Racing, becoming the latest breeze-up recruit to sell for profit.
It’s a record we’re very proud of and it’s great to now see Piper’s Fort off the mark.
A horse of quality who’s taken time to settle, the style of his success suggests there’s every chance he can give his horse racing syndicate plenty more fun and win more races going forward.
We look forward to seeing how he can progress from here for Archie.
