Qatar next for Maystar

8th December 2019

Saturday proved another great day for Maystar’s owners as their ultra-tough two-year-old provided another notable win in the Fast-Track Qualifier at Wolverhampton for his horse racing syndicate.

Trainer Archie Watson produced Maystar looking in brilliant shape less than seven weeks after he got bogged down in heavy ground in France and Maystar’s performance provided yet another feather in the cap or our ever-impressive trainer.

Breaking like a bullet from a gun, Maystar was soon towards the head of affairs under jockey-of-the-moment Hollie Doyle, who claimed the inside rail and rode a sensible race from that point.

Hollie asked Maystar for more turning into the straight and the response was impressive, as her mount found plenty to be decisively on top of the Fast-Track Qualifier field close home.

Hollie, who became the winning-most female rider a few days earlier, was all smiles as she talked Maystar’s owners through how she won race race as she unsaddled in the winners’ enclosure.

Owners will once again need to check their passports now as Archie’s ultra-shrewd purchase is on course to run next in the $100,000 Al Rayyan Stakes in Qatar later this month.

It promises to be another fantastic experience for Maystar’s horse racing syndicate who also have the £150,000 final of the All-Weather Championships to look forward to on Good Friday next year.

If you’d like to join in the fun Archie’s available horses page offers more information of our next youngster to be trained at Saxon Gate.
