Made For Me - Southwell

Runner News

24th November 2024

We head to Ludlow on Monday afternoon to see Made For Me make her handicap debut over hurdles for the Archie Watson team.

She will be lining up in the Geothermal Drilling UK Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Hurdle (1:45) and is one of ten runners in the race with Ben Poste booked to do the steering once again.

Archie is looking forward to having MFM back out in action, and he is hopeful that the step up in trip and switch to handicap company can be nicely suited for her as we continue to learn more about her this autumn time.

Looking at this race in further detail, there are a few of interest including two-time winner Come On Nia.

This mare takes the step up in trip this time of asking. Despite being well beaten at Chepstow at the back end of October, she won nicely in the summer and connections will be hoping to see her bounce back to that level once again. She is sure to appreciate a slightly drier forecast but will be one to keep a close eye on.

Broomfield Gale is certainly an interesting contender and makes her stable debut for her new yard. Rather surprisingly, this mare had two foals before she kicked off her racing career on the Point-to-Point circuit in Ireland and made the move over to the UK recently. She is sure to know her job well with plenty of experience under her belt and it would be no surprise to see her put up a bold performance.

Archie is eager to see how MFM will fare on Monday and with conditions looking to suit nicely, he is hopeful that she can be competitive as she makes her debut in the handicap ranks.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Made For Me’s connections the very best of luck for Monday’s race.
