Runner news

Clenymistra makes her second run of the season  at Thirsk on Tuesday in the Watch Racing UK In Stunning HD Handicap (2.45).

The four-year-old filly is one of 16 declared runners, has been drawn in stall eight and will be ridden by stable jockey Danny Tudhope in the all-aged twelve furlong handicap.

David reports Clenymistra is in good form at home. She has benefitted from her first run of the season at Doncaster and is hopefully in the right sort of form to run a big race on Tuesday.

Already a course and distance winner having won at the track last August, Clenymistra is handicapped to be competitive so we’re hopeful of a good run with everything looking to be in place for a big run.

The horse with the best recent form at the weights is Ravenswood, who finished runner-up on his second start for her current yard at Newcastle last time and is slightly ahead of the handicapper turned out quickly.

Correggio continues to fall in the weights and is dangerously well handicapped while Kings Gold, Hussar Ballad and Bogardus all come into the race off good recent runs.

The race is clearly competitive, both numerically and in terms of recent form but we have sound reasons for expecting a big run from Cleny on Tuesday. With this in mind we hope the filly heads to Thirsk with a sound each-way chance.
