Wednesday sees Elusive Empire make his return to action for the Archie Watson team as he makes the short journey down the road to Kempton.
Elusive will be lining up in the Unibet Support Safe Gambling Novice Stakes (6.00) where he is one of seven runners, drawn in stall six, with Hollie Doyle booked to ride.
Archie is pleased with how Elusive has been coming to hand at home as he prepares him for this return to action and although he may well need this first run back to blow away the cobwebs, so to speak, Archie has been pleased with how he has taken his work at home.
On viewing the form here, it looks to be a strong contest, with several having claims on the best of their form so far.
Kings Vanity created a very good impression when winning impressively over this trip on his first start of the year at Lingfield. The form he achieved on that occasion suggests he's sure to go close here if in the same form, while there is every chance there's more to come from him too.
That's Dandy Harry made the perfect start to his career when winning towards the end of last year at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs. Whilst the form he achieved wouldn't be of the same standard as the best horses on show here, he hit the line well, very much in the style of a horse with more to offer.
Archie is very happy with how Elusive Empire has been training at home, and although he will need to be at the very top of his game, if not step up in it, to be in with a winning chance here, Archie is hoping to see him run a good race on this first start of the year.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Elusive Empire’s connections the very best of luck for Wednesday’s race.
