Tempus wins G3 Prix Quincey

Runner News

10th February 2024

We head across the Channel on Sunday with Tempus making a trip to Cagnes-sur-Mer where he is in Listed action for the Archie Watson team.

Tempus lines up in the Prix Saonois (4.07 local time, 3.07 GMT) where he is one of seven runners, with Luke Morris making the journey to France to ride.

Archie is pleased to report that Tempus has been in great nick at home as he is prepared for this engagement and he is said to have come through his final preparations in good order.

On paper, there are plenty lining up holding decent chances including last year’s winner Hooking.

With plenty of experience at Cagnes-Sur-Mer, he was victorious on his latest start at the track when adding another Listed win to his name. He takes the step back down in trip this time and although at the top of the weights, it would be no surprise to see him bang there once again.

Multiple black-type winner Fast Raaj also lines up. He certainly catches the eye having won three of his last six starts over both one mile and seven furlongs. He arrives in good form and is sure to be competitive once again.

Archie is very pleased with how Tempus has been taking preparations for this Listed engagement and he is hopeful that while this is a competitive line up, he should be capable of a bold show here for his owners, plenty of whom are heading to France to support him.

We would like to take this chance to wish Tempus and his owners the very best of luck for Sunday’s race.
