Shaladar’s latest win

The week got off to the perfect start as Shaladar recorded his third win of the season at Ayr on Monday.

The three-year old has enjoyed a fantastic campaign, rarely finishing out of the placings and showing a great attitude to his racing.

Turned out in fantastic order by the Kevin Ryan team, Shaladar was always travelling well under Kevin’s apprentice Oisin McSweeney, and could be noted going well as the field approached the business end of the race.

Oisin bided his time before delivering Shaladar with a powerful run and it was soon clear the three-year old had the measure of his rivals, with Oisin able to take things rather easy in the closing stages of the contest.

Kevin Ryan has always liked the son of Shalaa and his faith in him is really starting to pay off now with this latest win earning Shaladar a provisional Timeform rating of 90.

The season could yet get better still for his horse racing syndicate as Shaladar will escape a penalty if running before the end of next week and may well be out and racing at Nottingham next Wednesday if pleasing Kevin at home ahead of then.

Whether heading to the Midlands or not, it's clear to see Shaladar is a most progressive and likeable young horse and one who should continue to give his horse racing syndicate a great time going forward.
