Sheriff turns on the style

2nd March 2021

Whoshotthesheriff turned on the style at Catterick this afternoon, routing his well-backed rivals in the style of a very nice horse in the novice chase.

Regular ride Sean Quinlan got a great tune out of the son of Dylan Thomas, who jumped accurately throughout before readily scooting clear up the home straight to win by an eased-down 15 lengths.

It was hard not to be impressed by Sheriff’s dominant win as he scored a second success over fences for his horse racing syndicate.

Such was the ease of the success, it’s perfectly plausible this quality chaser has further big days ahead over fences and his syndicate owners clearly have much to look forward to, both this year and beyond.

Sheriff’s latest win came just a couple of miles from Appleton, where he is stabled with Phil Kirby. Such was the ease of the success, Phil was of the opinion this race would have felt like little more than a school round for him!

It’s great to see Sheriff doing so well for his owners, this was his fifth success since joining us from the horses in training sales for £40,000.

After Sheriff turned on the style here, it will be very interesting to see where Phil points him next as he looks to further improve his quality cv.
