Sheriff’s Cheltenham Festival entry
29th January 2019
Owners in Whoshotthesheriff got some exciting news today when it was confirmed their horse has been entered in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
The imposing son of Dylan Thomas has shown both great promise and ability in two starts over hurdles to date, winning easily at Ayr before finishing second in a valuable rated hurdle at Navan on his second and latest start, when he impressed Jack Kennedy.
Gordon was delighted with that run and views Whoshotthesheriff as a quality horse with a big future ahead of him. He’ll be sending the Sheriff back over the water for a novice hurdle next week, either at Carlisle on Monday, or Ayr on Wednesday as he continues to build and develop.
It’s tremendously exciting that one of the best jumps trainers around thinks the Sheriff worthy of such an exciting entry and it really does look like his owners are set to enjoy a fantastic journey with this impressive individual.
One of the biggest thrills of the entire Cheltenham week is the Supreme, when the traditional Cheltenham Festival roar goes up as the tapes are released.
The excitement will be even greater for those involved in owning a horse in this illustrious race. That dream is very much alive for all the Sheriff’s owners.
It’s not too late to join the party either, as we still have one share available in this quality prospect.
