Soaring the Star at Ayr
24th August 2020
Soaring Star gave his horse racing syndicate the perfect start to the week at Ayr today, with a comfortable win under Kevin Stott.
The impressive son of Starspangledbanner had posted some solid efforts of late, most notably at Catterick last week and was fully deserving of this impressive first success.
Towards the fore from the outset, Soaring Star was given a positive ride, and after getting into a lovely rhythm early on, picked up well at the two-furlong pole to clear away, never seeing another rival to land a cosy victory.
At the finish Soaring Star had more than two lengths in hand, with the third horse a further five lengths adrift and looks just the sort to keep progressing under Kevin Ryan’s expert handling for the rest of the current campaign and beyond.
Kevin was delighted to see Soaring Star gain his well-deserved first win at Ayr, as were his horse racing syndicate who certainly look to have a nice horse on their hands.
Congratulations go to all of his owners and especially Grant, who had made the long journey north to enjoy his first success as an owner with Hambleton. Here's hoping it's the first of many!
