Star scores to complete double
10th July 2018
Star Of Zaam returned to winning ways in the sunshine at Windsor on Monday on a special night for jockey Rhona Pindar.
The three-year-old proved a consistent horse last year, finishing in the first three on eight of his ten starts as a two-year-old and has found similar consistency again of late.
Second places at Leicester and Ripon meant Star Of Zaam went into his race at Windsor in good form and he took full advantage to gain his second career success under a polished ride from Rhona.
The win will be something Rhona will remember forever, as this was her first ever success in the saddle.
Rhona, who has recently joined Karl's stable, handled Star Of Zaam really well and showed a cool head in the closing stage in a busy finish.
We're delighted for Rhona and look forward to seeing her in the Hambleton silks again soon.
Stat Of Zaam's win completed a double from two runners on the day, after Celebrity Dancer's impressive success at Ayr earlier in the day.
Congratulation to all connections, and of course to Rhona, who is pictured above allowing herself a well-deserved smile in the shadows of the winning post.
