Style’s Silver Bowl win

Kevin Ryan has been training Hambleton’s owners winners for nigh on 20 years and had our owners in the winners’ enclosure again at Ripon on Thursday.

Hambleton’s very first horses in training were based with Kevin and with his support we have steadily progressed to provide winners for so many of our owners over the years.

Our latest winner together was the thoroughly likeable American Style, a progressive type who was very well supported by his owners at Ripon as he lined up in the six-furlong Ripon Silver Bowl.

Despite a modest draw, Tom Eaves soon had American Style towards the front rank, with the pair showing bright speed early on to bag a good position against the stands side rail.

As the race developed Tom was always travelling kindly and when he asked his mount to pick up, American Style stayed on gamely to narrowly repel the hot favourite and runner-up.

As the camera shutters clicked, American Style received a well-deserved warm welcome from his horse racing syndicate as he came back into the winners’ enclosure after recording his second success for his delighted owners.

The son of Washington DC is a fine horse who has made notable physical progress through the winter. This performance marks the £22,000 bargain buy down as a lovely horse to look forward to for the year, and one who should give his horse racing syndicate plenty of fun moving forwards.

Kevin’s patience and skill in handling this promising horse has been impressive and we look forward to seeing how American Style can progress from here.

Following American Style’s Silver Bowl win, it’s likely he’ll be seen at Newmarket on Guineas weekend where he’ll be joined by another talented son of Washington DC, Washington Heights, who’ll be contesting the Group 3 Palace House Stakes.
