Inner Temple wins Southwell

Temple wins again

21st March 2024

The horses continue to go from strength on the racecourse and it was a case of sweet 16 in the big race of the night at Southwell this evening, where Inner Temple saw off a host of interesting opponents to win again in pleasing style and bring up our 16th winner of the year.

Ridden by stable jockey Hollie Doyle for the Archie Watson team, Inner Temple, our very first winner of 2024, was soon well placed throughout and could be noted travelling well as the race began to develop in the home straight.

As Hollie started to ask for more Inner Temple found generously for pressure, keeping straight in the final furlong to see off some well touted opposition in a race that commentator Richard Hoiles descried a ‘hot looking event’ as the horses entered the stalls.

With Inner Temple pulling over three lengths clear with the runner-up ahead of some recent winners, the form looks strong and there seems little doubt that Inner Temple, a fine stamp of a horse with a pleasing attitude, is shaping up to be a lovely prospect for his horse racing syndicate.

Archie thinks this lovely, still fairly raw horse, has got more improvement in him yet, and his horse racing syndicate certainly look to have a progressive three-year-old on their hands who should give them lots more fun.

It was great to see Inner Temple win again and owners enjoying the moment in the winners enclosure afterwards, before heading off to watch the winning replays and reflect on how well their lad had won his latest race.

Given his imposing size, it seems highly likely this quality three-year-old can continue to give his owners plenty of sport moving forwards, as Inner Temple bids to maintain his progressive profile and perfect record as a three-year-old.

We look forward to seeing the next move Archie makes with this lovely horse.
