Perfectly Timed wins again, this time at Newcastle for his horse racing syndicate, and in great style too.
The son of Time Test, a 20,000gns recruit as a yearling by Archie, was winning his second race of the year and bouncing back to form after not enjoying Ripon on his previous start.
Winning moments like these are the very fabric of what makes horse racing syndicates so special with Hambleton Racing, and why so many existing and new owners decide to buy racehorse shares with Hambleton.
Our latest winner was always well placed under Hollie Doyle, and Perfectly Timed was going notably well as the race developed early in the straight. As Hollie pressed on a little at that stage, the pair never looking likely to relinquish their lead they held from there on, ultimately recording quite a decisive success.
Close home she and Perfectly Timed were comfortably clear and strong to the line in a very likeable performance over Newcastle’s stiff ten furlongs.
After the race Hollie told the owners present, that she felt Perfectly Timed would have no problem staying an extra quarter mile which could of course open up some interesting options for him before the season is out.
Perfectly Timed is yet another example of the value Archie Watson and our buying team can source for our owners at the sales when working together. A relatively cheap purchase at just 20,000gns, here he was well on top of the well-backed runner-up, who cost exactly ten times more at 200,000gns from the same sale ring a few days earlier. It’s a constant challenge to source quality racehorses on a sensible budget and look a little beyond the obvious, and one we relish at every sale we work. This particular bargain was sourced from the Tattersalls sales ring.
The owners of PT’s horse racing syndicate present at Newcastle enjoyed the moment as Hollie Doyle came in and told them just how she had secured victory as she unsaddled, before owners headed off for champagne with the Hambleton team.
It was great to see Perfectly Timed win again and it will interesting to see how this impressive three-year-old can progress from here.
