Tylos Leicester win easy

Tylos a facile winner!

14th April 2023

Winners on the Flat don’t come much easier than that of Tylos, who came home a facile winner at Leicester this afternoon.

The four-year-old could be called the winner well over two furlongs out in the seven-furlong handicap, as he relished the heavy ground on his first turf start since joining us.

Tylos becomes the latest in a long list of successful horses in training recruits for Hambleton, having joined us at the end of August last year for just 25,000gns.

Already placed twice for his horse racing syndicate on the all-weather this year, Tylos relished the switch to testing turf with jockey Luke Morris reporting to his delighted owners that he couldn’t have won any easier in the post-race debrief in Leicester’s winners enclosure.

There were some great scenes and big smiles all round as owners watched on from the owners viewing balcony, as Tylos glided fully 11 lengths clear under a largely motionless ride from Luke off a BHA mark of 86.

Conditions clearly played a part, but Tylos was a facile winner and to win any race by such a wide margin takes some doing, especially when your racing off such a high rating in a handicap.

Tylos looks another quality horse we’ve sourced cheaply for his horse racing syndicate and seems sure to give his owners plenty more fun yet in some nice races this year.

It’s great to see the son of Night Of Thunder progressing so well. His next start, and indeed the rest of the season, is awaited with great interest.
