Stable Visits

1st April 2020

It’s an unusual feeling not being able to take our horse racing owners on their stable visits at this time of year.

One of the benefits of owning with Hambleton is the chance to visit the stables on your own terms as and when you like to see your horse in training.

The start of the Flat season and bright, warmer weather generally sees a number of our horse racing owners take advantage of the chance to see their horses up close and personal before they hit the racecourse.

However, this year this hasn’t been possible as our racing yards comply with the strict safety guidelines that have been put in place by the authorities to ensure they can continue with the business of training racehorses without delay.

The Hambleton team have been working hard with our various yards to ensure our owners can still see their horses in training and thanks to a huge effort by all concerned we’ve been able to bring many of our owners footage of their horses as if they were with them at the stables.

Not quite the same as the real thing perhaps but judging by the feedback we’ve had so far, a very welcome insight into life in our racing yards.

Efforts continue, and we hope and expect to be able to bring the horses to our owners a little more in the coming days.

Needless to say, this would not be possible without the efforts of all the staff who’ve been working so hard on our behalf, enabling us to take the horses to our horse racing owners for some rather different stable visits this week.
