Stay In Control At BetUK Handicap (Div I)
Winner - Jumeira Vision

Vision off the mark

18th November 2023

It was great to see Jumeira Vision get off the mark at Wolverhampton on Friday evening and become the latest winning Horses In Training recruit for our owners.

Archie Watson and Hambleton Racing have made something of a habit of sourcing nice horses from the horses in training sales and Jumeira Vision’s horse racing syndicate now look to have a nice, progressive three-year-old on their hands.

The son of Iffraj is related to two talented winners who both stayed 12 furlongs and beyond and attained ratings off 99 and 101.

This lad clearly has some way to go to reach that level but showed he was very much going the right way when overcoming obvious inexperience to wear down the in-form front runner and favourite Star Of St Louis under a polished Joshua Bryan ride.

After the race, Josh was keen to tell owners that their rather raw horse had much more to offer going forward and said he had been rather learning on the job on what was just his second handicap start of his career.

For now, it was great to see Jumeira Vision get off the mark on just his fourth start for his new owners.

Given his imposing size and the quality of his family, it seems likely the three-year-old can continue to give his owners plenty of fun moving forwards as he bids to maintain his progressive profile.

We look forward to seeing where his master trainer Archie targets this progressive three-year-old next!
