Watchable wins again

20th July 2018

He may be an eight-year-old but Watchable is thriving this year and emphasised the point with a taking win at Pontefract on Friday night.

The son of Pivotal was dropping to five furlongs for the first time this year but showed lots of pace from an early stage as he dominated the race under stable jockey Danny Tudhope.

Watchable led his rivals easily through the early stages and Danny was able to dictate matters very much on his terms.

When Danny asked Watchable to pick up he quickly settled the issue, and was firmly on top through the closing stages of the valuable race.

This was the second time Watchable has tasted success since joining us at the start of the year and we’re delighted for all owners concerned.

Watchable already holds an entry in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood whilst other valuable sprint handicaps are likely to come onto his agenda as well now.

David O’Meara managed to win the Wokingham with an eight-year-old last year and with Watchable has once again proved he is a master at keeping these older horses sweet and enjoying their racing.

For Watchable’s part he can now look forward to a relaxing time in the Willow Farm paddocks tomorrow morning.
