What’s our Owners’ Day about? It’s about friendship and enjoyment. It’s about coming together with loved ones to make some special memories.
Of course, it’s about racing too. But there’s so much more to Hambleton than a simple day at the races.
Our 2025 Owners’ Day at Doncaster was once again bathed in sunshine as our owners joined us in the best seats in the house to enjoy some great racing and fun together.
The all-complimentary day had all the usual ingredients we’d have hoped to create for our wonderful owners – excellent food, quality racing, fun, laughter, not to mention valuable funds raised for our charity partner, Racing Welfare.
Whether an expert or a novice, confident or shy, every owner is welcome with Hambleton.
Since launching our first horse racing syndicate nearly 20 years ago, we’ve prided ourselves on making everyone welcome and getting to know each owner as an individual.
No one day encapsulates what Hambleton are about more than our Owners’ Day, as so many different people come together to enjoy a memorable, enjoyable day together.
Nothing highlights that more than the pictures from the day. The gallery below is just the tip of the iceberg really, and it’s humbling to see so many people having such a great time at our favourite event of the year.
The day began with a drinks reception for our owners, who were granted access to the course prior the course officially opening.
Once everyone was assembled our Director Of Racing, Simon Turner, welcomed everyone to the room and took the audience through all the news from Hambleton’s trainers, and all the other goings on of the day.
Our guest speaker for the day, Racing TV’s Niall Hannity, was in good form as he entertained guests prior to racing, explaining how he’d got into racing as lunch was served within the stunning facilities.
The feedback on the day’s menu was excellent while our feedback for owners was ‘thank you’ for once again giving so generously to help raise funds for charity in our raffle.
As the day progressed a tremendous atmosphere developed in the box, with laughter and smiles on view all around the room. It was a lovely occasion, that always reminds the Hambleton team why we love what we do so much.
The Hambleton team were in great form, none more so than our Head Racing Manager Cosmo, who had particular fun acknowledging the box whilst Simon introduced him on the microphone.
With so many horses due to be active in the coming weeks, there was loads to discuss and look forward to as the day progressed. The start of the Flat season is a special time in the calendar and it’s always lovely to come together with our owners ahead of the annual rollercoaster setting off for another year.
Without doubt there’ll be highs, without doubt there’ll be lows and we’ll hopefully share them together and have lots of fun along the way.
These moments are what helps enhance our enjoyment of this great sport, and are what makes syndicate ownership so special. Newcomers can easily buy racehorse shares wish us to become part of the action.
On a memorable day, it was great to see new friendships being formed and established friends sharing a great afternoon in an enjoyable, informal and welcoming environment as our horse racing syndicate owners created a great atmosphere.
It was notable just how many owners talked about meeting up with former friends and contacts from past syndicates on a day when many new owners got their first taste of what owning a racehorse means with Hambleton.
On behalf of the Hambleton team, we’d like to say a big thank you to all our owners, not only for all the kind words about the day but also for helping make the day the big success it was.
More than ever, we’ve been inundated with kind messages since the Doncaster Owners’ Day. It’s great to hear that so many of our owners had a wonderful time and humbling to receive so much genuine gratitude for organising one of our favourite days of the year.
The task now is to make sure next year’s event is even better!
