A Perfect result

It’s always great to see our owners enjoying that winning feeling at the races and Perfectly Timed provided a perfect result for his owners when making his second start a winning one on Saturday at Kempton.

The son of Time Test, a 20,000gns yearling purchase, is a big boy and was very much in need of the experience when making his recent debut at Southwell, where he shaped with notable promise after showing his inexperience during the early stages.

With Archie and Hollie confident Perfectly Timed would step forward for his first day at school there was much optimism surrounding Saturday’s run and Perfectly Timed, or PT as he’s fondly known amongst many of his horse racing syndicate, didn’t disappoint.

Ridden to gain a prominent position early on PT was soon towards the front end of the race and held his position well as the field turned for home.

As the race really developed and Hollie asked for more Perfectly Timed responded generously, finding a change of gear to get clear of his rivals before keeping on in taking fashion to secure his first success on just his second outing to the delight of his owners.

As a very big horse, Perfectly Timed looks a three-year-old with a very promising future and it will be fascinating to see how he progresses from a perfect result under the expert care of Archie Watson and his team in Lambourn.

In the meantime his owners can look back on an impressive first success for PT, and dream of what might be to come this year.
