Dream looks smart on York debut
28th July 2024
There were some special scenes in York’s winners enclosure on Saturday as Greydreambeliever stamped herself a smart recruit on her debut.
The beautiful daughter of Dark Angel was recently named at Karl Burke’s stunning Spigot Lodge stables and provided her horse racing syndicate with another day to remember on Saturday, as she sparkled on her racecourse debut at York.
In a field full of fillies with good form and lofty profiles, Greydreambeliever handled herself superbly in the prelims, and even better in the race itself.
Soon settled tracking the hot favourite, Greydreambeliever always looked to be going best and when Cliff Lee asked her to lengthen the response was impressive as the striking grey shot to the front in front of the huge Saturday crowd.
Once at the head of the affairs the filly showed a lovely attitude to stay there to the absolute delight of her horse racing syndicate, who were making some special memories on the Knavesmire.
To win in such good style on her York debut marks Greydreambeliever down as a smart prospect and her owners are likely to have many more exciting days to look forward to with her now.
The fillies she beat, good time of the race and the fact she galloped out really well after the line are all pointers this is a filly who will not be out of place in Group races, and we can’t wait to see how she progresses under the expert guidance of top trainer Karl Burke.
Karl, on hand in the winner’s enclosure to enjoy the moment with owners, was absolutely delighted with this impressive debut and feels we have a smart filly who can give us a lot of fun in good races going forwards.
