Our strong start to the year continued at Lingfield on Tuesday, where Elements Of Fire made the perfect start to his career with Archie Watson under Hollie Doyle.
The son of Too Darn Hot cost 320,000gns as a yearling but was recruited for the more reasonable sum of 32,000gns last October from the autumn horses in training sales.
Our buying team have a fantastic record at sourcing Hambleton Racing’s horse racing syndicates great value at the sales and look to have done so once again judged on Elements Of Fire’s perfect start to his career.
Hollie Doyle’s tactical control
Settling in front after breaking well from the stalls, Elements Of Fire was soon in a nice rhythm under Hollie Doyle, who always looked in control as she secured her 67th winner in the Hambleton Racing silks.
As she so often does, Hollie dictated things perfectly off the front end before asking Elements Of Fire to quicken on the run into the home straight.
As an inexperienced horse, Elements was understandably a little green on the run into the straight before keeping on strongly to see off his challengers, to whom he was conceding fully 12lb.
Well‑bred recruit in good hands
The win marks the well bred four-year-old down as a horse with plenty of quality and he could hardly be in better hands to progress from here than Archie Watson. A horse with quality form in the book already, he looks a fascinating recruit to the team.
Hollie was understandably very pleased after the race telling the many horse racing syndicate owners present exactly how she had secured the success, and her thoughts for the future.
Trainer Archie Watson has once again done a fantastic job for our owners with this well-bred recruit, who is the latest success story from our Buy Racehorse Shares section.
He has an awfully long way to go to replicate the heights that Group race hero’s like Glen Shiel have achieved for Hambleton Racing’s owners, but equally, the well bred, intelligently acquired horse looks an exciting recruit for his horse racing syndicate.
We look forward to seeing what path Archie plots forward into the 2026 season for him now. He certainly looks a horse to keep on the right side of after his impressive start to life in the Hambleton silks.
