Dancer posts big Ebor Festival run

24th August 2018

Thursday proved a really enjoyable day of racing for Celebrity Dancer’s owners as they followed their two-year-old onto the Knavesmire for the valuable Goffs Premier Yearling Sales.

Racing at the Ebor Festival as an owner is always an enjoyable occasion as the some of the best equine talent around meet to do battle on a huge stage.

Celebrity Dancer, a £23,000 purchase from last year’s Goffs Premier Yearling sales at Doncaster, headed into the race with two wins from his three previous starts and ran a cracking race facing his toughest test yet, finishing fourth of the 20-strong field.

This fine effort took Celebrity’s career earnings to date to over £33,000 and there could well be further gains to be had for his owners in the coming months.

Next on the agenda for the son of Excelebration is the £300,000 Weatherbys Racing Bank Stakes at Doncaster’s St.Leger meeting next month.

However he gets on from here Celebrity Dancer is certainly doing his owners proud and proving yet another advert for quality Kevin can source our owners from the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale.

As soon as the Ebor meeting closes the hard work will once again begin in and around the Doncaster sales ring as Kevin and his team work through 501 catalogued yearlings as they bid to find the next Celebrity Dancer.

Interest in the horses Kevin secures on our behalf will be understandably be stronger than ever following the recent exploits of Celebrity Dancer and fellow recent Goffs Premier graduates, Company Asset and Rural Celebration.
