Another win for Aaddeey

A jumping debut at Uttoxeter produced another win for Aaddeey on Wednesday evening and wrote another chapter in the adventurous story his owners are experiencing so far.

Secured by our buying team for 35,000gns last autumn, Aaddeey has been on quite the journey since, starting out with an impressive first time out win in a valuable Ripon handicap before taking his owners to Royal Ascot in June.

A solid second place at Listed level at Sandown followed before a trip to the picturesque Deauville racecourse in France during July.

After schooling well at home, expectations were high that Aaddeey would enjoy and be very effective over hurdles as he set out over hurdles for the first time.

Those expectations proved spot on as the six-year-old saw off a two-time course and distance winner at Uttoxeter to win in good style on his hurdling debut under Nick Schofield, much to the delight of his horse racing syndicate.

After another win for Aaddeey, Nick was very complimentary about his mount, feeling he had much more to offer over hurdles.

For now though, those aspirations will have to wait, as this versatile and likeable horse has a date in the diary back on the Flat in a Listed race at Newmarket later this month.

There have certainly been few dull moments during Aaddeey’s career with us so far and we look forward to seeing how he goes in his latest Stakes race later this month, and how his career develops over hurdles moving forwards.
